Portable Conductivity Meter (EC Meters)

A portable conductivity meter (in short EC meter) obtains the electrical conductivity of an aqueous solution. Like their benchtop counterparts, these hand-held meters not only test for electrical conductivity, but have pH, percent NaCl, mV/redox, resistance and temperature measurement modes as well. A hand held or portable conductivity meter can ascertain conductivity over measurement ranges as broad as 0.01 uS/cm to 1000 mS/cm. These hand-held EC meters also feature robust manual and automatic temperature compensation ranges as wide as -20 to 120C. With their portability in mind, important special features to seek in an EC meter include long battery life and data transfer capability via USB connection.
