Humidity chambers are popular for stability testing in the chemical, pharmaceutical, food, and packaging industries. They model varying conditions of relative humidity within a modest temperature range. Typically, a humidity chamber (also called a stability chamber) will offer temperatures between 0C and 80C, and relative humidity from 20% to 90%. Specialized humidity test chambers may have an extended range for temperature and humidity. Corrosion-resistant interiors and components are particularly important in a humidity test chamber due to extended exposure to damp conditions inside. Energy efficient fans, compressors, and heaters are also very attractive features in stability chambers, since they will be running for extended periods during product testing.
